Deep stump extraction and root raking to leave ground clear for subsoil work. No buried wood to rot and collapse under future irrigation or equipment.

Why A. Nonini
We Don't Cut Corners — and Neither Should You
Since 1988, we've built our reputation one clean job at a time. We know what it costs to do removal wrong — buried roots that wreck equipment for years, wire left in the ground that jams your sprinklers, biomass burned without permits. We don't do any of that.
When you hire A. Nonini Ag Services, you get a crew that shows up, does the work thoroughly, and leaves you a field you can actually use — not a cleanup project.
-
Fully licensed & insured CA Contractor's License. Full liability coverage on every job.
-
Our crew, not subcontractors You deal with us, start to finish. No strangers on your property.
-
We respect your schedule We work around fumigation windows, planting deadlines, and harvest schedules.
-
Transparent pricing Written estimates. No change-order surprises after we're on-site.

Our Story
Two Generations, One Standard of Work
A. Nonini Ag Services was founded in Fresno in 1988 by a grower who understood what farmers actually needed — a removal crew that showed up, worked hard, and left the ground in a condition you could actually use the next season.
Today, the second generation runs the operation with the same values: show up on time, do the work right, stand behind it. We're not a national franchise or a corporate operation. We're Central Valley farmers ourselves, and we treat every job like it's our own land.
Over 35 years, we've removed orchards and vineyards of every type and size across six counties. We've seen what shortcuts cost growers in the long run — and we've never been in the business of making cheap mistakes.
"We do it right the first time, because there's no second chance with the ground your family farms."
— Anthony Nonini, Owner
Common Questions
Things Growers Ask Us
-
Every job is different — acreage, crop type, material density, disposal method, and site conditions all affect the price. We don't give ballpark numbers over the phone because they're often wrong and we don't want to waste your time. What we do is come out, walk the property, and give you a written estimate at no cost and no obligation. That estimate is what you pay — no surprise change orders.
-
We typically book 2–6 weeks out depending on the season. Winter and early spring are our busiest periods. If you have a hard fumigation or replanting deadline, tell us upfront — we'll do our best to work around it, and we're honest with you if the timeline isn't possible.
-
Your choice. We can grind the material and disk it back into the soil (which is often preferred for organic matter), windrow it for burning (with proper permits), or haul it off entirely. We'll discuss what makes the most sense for your replanting plan during the estimate.
-
We can help coordinate burn permits through SJVAPCD or the relevant district. Permitting requirements have changed significantly in recent years — burning is becoming more restricted and grinding is often the better option both environmentally and practically. We'll advise you on what's feasible in your area.
-
Yes. We carry a California Contractor's License and full general liability and workers' compensation insurance. We can provide certificates of insurance to your lender or farm manager before we start work. Always ask any contractor you hire for proof — don't take their word for it.
-
We focus on commercial agricultural acreage. For very small residential or hobby-farm situations, we may refer you to a more appropriate contractor. Give us a call and describe your situation — we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.
